As a regular volunteer at Kirkby Station East railway station, Alan could not resist the opportunity of painting a festive snow scene – one which reflects the appeal of this once-important North Eastern railway junction.
Set between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, Alan incorporated all those aspects which make this site such a compelling subject for railway conservation.
We've chosen a frame we think suits the work, and provided you with two images of this framed print in a standard size, so you can see how it will look on your wall. One is slightly 'warmer' looking; one is slightly more 'cool' looking, to reflect the different temperatures of light you might have in your home.
