Late Shift by Alan Gunston

A key ingredient of any railway painting is to bring out the ‘social’ dimension – to recognise that railways are largely about people, communities of travellers and communities of workers who are touched by railways - this is as relevant today as it was in the age of steam.

With Late Shift, Alan attempts to make that link between man and machine and encourages the viewer to ‘feel the heat’.

We've chosen a frame we think suits the work, and provided you with two images of this framed print in a standard size, so you can see how it will look on your wall. One is slightly 'warmer' looking; one is slightly more 'cool' looking, to reflect the different temperatures of light you might have in your home.

Silver metallic, square section.
